It is the largest underground network in the Périgord. More than 13 km were explored to date. Rainwater percolation created a beautiful natural scenery. You will admire impressive flows of calcite deposits, delicate stalactites, transparent draperies and countless stalagmites. Prehistoric paintings were discovered. Made 19,000 years ago, they represent the authentic testimony of our ancestors’ art. Some of them, such as the rotunda of horses, are covered with a thin layer of calcite which gives them their particular bluish hue. You will admire as well the bison and sorcerer scene, one of the rare human representations in prehistoric art. New in 2013: you will enjoy outside a new discovery footpath about fauna, flora and climates from Prehistory until the Present.

April, Mai, June and September: 10am to midday and 2pm to 7pm. July and August: 10am to 7.30pm. October and November: 2pm to 6pm. The last visit leaves 30 minutes before closing time.Open for groups, by appointment, from 01/03 to 30/11.
